SOCIAL DESIGN + SUSTAINABLE DESIGN + URBAN DESIGN

rstasiuk@ualberta.ca | rebeccastasiuk.com

Rebecca enjoys challenging the discourse that designers create through understanding what makes design impactful. By using a human-centered and collaborative process to understand and define social problems, she can recognize the important elements that shape the visual and built environment. As a multi-disciplinary designer, Rebecca believes that form often reflects the materiality of an object and should be created to respect the material’s strengths and weaknesses. Design should be seen as a form of critical thinking with a flare of attitude that values equality, participation, sharing, and sustainability, that deliberately engage social issues and recognize the importance of decisions and actions.

SUNGLASS DESIGN

In a world that is full of fashion trends and seasonal changes, szn goes against the fast fashion industry with handmade production. Created with 3M Dichroic film, these sunglasses add an array of colours through the transmission and refraction polymers which allow the most stunning and yet transparent colourways to shine.
